Dispatches of Place
October 10, 2012 § Leave a Comment

The Common seeks short essays (500-1,000 words) that are evocative of place for its weekly online column, “Dispatches“.
Past dispatches have come from locations around the world, including a village in Denmark, a forest in Singapore, a bustling Spanish city, a sleepy Canadian town, and a prison in South Africa–no place is too large or too small! All kinds of non-fiction are welcome, including personal essays, lyric essays, reportage, and travelogues. Please make submissions through The Common’s online submission system, Tell It Slant.
