Laissez les Nonfiction Rouler!

“Nonfiction writers do not make things up; they make ideas and
information that already exist more interesting and, often, more
accessible.” –Lee Gutkind

We agree. NDR seeks pieces that activate the compelling bits of “real”
life. We welcome hybrid essays that expose the insides of things to
risk making language do new things. Personal essays are welcome, too.
Use a slice of memoir, but also use a dose of self-awareness.
Autobiographical moments which are digested and used to engage the
reader, not prove something to the reader, delight us.

Prize: $150 and publication in NDR. Finalists will be considered for
publication. Deadline: March 15th, 2011 (postmark date)

Judge: Eula Biss
