Brevity’s Summer Plans

June 11, 2011 § 8 Comments

The Brevity staff, in between our sailboat racing and polo games, is concentrating this summer on achieving non-profit status, a move that will allow us to begin paying writers next year. Despite the massive paperwork load and legal-schmegal, mumbo-gumbo jargon of it all, we think it is a fine goal and the right thing to do.

If we don’t fill out the forms correctly, however, or if we use the wrong color ink on our tax filings, the G-men will come for us, force us to dismount from our polo ponies, put us in front of bright lights, and grill us right through the long evening.  Those G-Men are ugly, too.  (See photo.)

So everyone, please send us air-kisses and good wishes on this effort. We need all the help we can get.
