Texas Review Seeks Nonfiction

Brevity contributor Greg Bottoms, professor of creative nonfiction writing at the University of Vermont, has taken over as the essays editor at Texas Review, which has been publishing poetry, short fiction, essays, and reviews since 1979 at Sam Houston State University.

Bottoms tells us that he is particularly looking for the following:  1) excellent familiar essays about writers, writing, and literary culture in general; 2) compelling personal narratives, especially memoir and travel writing; 3) innovative creative nonfiction that pushes the boundaries of the genre.
