Brevity’s Bonus March Issue
March 13, 2013 § Leave a comment
Brevity has posted a new issue, an unusual gap issue between our regular January and May offerings, because there are just so many fine writers exploring the short form. Our special mid-March issue includes new work from Barbara Hurd, Rebecca McClanahan, Pablo Pinera Stillman, Ted Kluck, Anne Panning, Dinah Lenney, Erika Dreifus, Eliza Fogel, Fleda Brown, Lori A. May and some other fine fine writers. Photos by Michael McKniff.
In our Craft section, Jill Talbot explores the permission essay, an essay which is brave and gives you permission to wonder after that which cannot be known. Also, drawing on their recent memoirs Works Cited and The Mountain and the Fathers, authors Brandon Schrand and Joe Wilkins interview one another about the possibilities and limitations of form and experimentation.
