Our social media editor, and regular blogger in this space, Allison Williams, is also a freelance editor, a newlywed, a circus aerialist, a resident of Dubai, a podcast coach, and a playwright.  Yes, really!  All of that.

Speaking of the latter, Allison was recently interviewed on The Theatrefolk Blog about her work for stage and radio. Here, for instance, is her advice to beginning writers:

Just write anything. No really, it’s way easier to improve on a crappy first draft than to write something from nothing. So if you don’t know what to do with your meaningful romantic scene, let aliens invade and fix it in the second draft. So yeah, that’s my advice. When in doubt, send in the aliens.
