The Art of Looking Sideways

Sideways, the first magazine exclusively designed and written for the iPad, has re-published a few of our favorite Brevity essays over the past few months, including work by Melissa Ballard and John Griswold.  This month, Sideways takes Brevity editor Dinty W. Moore’s Google Maps essay on his encounters with George Plimpton and gives it the full iPad treatment.

The magazine is an interesting attempt to harness the unique format and interactivity of the iPad to bring fresh life to what was once static magazine content.  Worth a look.

Brevity editor and founder Dinty W. Moore must be smoking the funny stuff again, at least based on his newest essay in the wonderful new journal The Normal School.
